ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER FROM PORT OF ENTRY
It is advised that all candidates land in Vancouver; however, on occasion we may recommend another port of entry, and in this case we will send orientation and arrival information electronically.
Generally candidates will have at least some nights in Vancouver (more if attending school or if they are going to be working in Vancouver), and on the first business day, or at a pre-arranged time, we will have an orientation where we will show you how to get your tax number and other essential information. You may be asked to open your own bank account in the location you are traveling to if you are leaving to a resort community. Candidates generally take one of 3 options to get to the resort or hotel if that is where they are placed;
a) Greyhound bus (www.greyhound.ca)
b) Plane (www.aircanada.com; www.westjet.com)
c) Organized student backpacker trips (www.moosenetwork.com)
Travel duration can be up to 15 hours, remember that Canada is the second largest country on earth, but we will give you all of the best information we can prior to arrival in Canada.
