What happens the first week after I arrive?
You will be required to be at the INTERNeX office at 4:30 pm on the first Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) for the Orientation. The Orientation is divided into 2 sections. The first section covers the general arrival information (i.e. about the city, safety, public transit, how to get a cell phone, etc.). The second section covers the specific program information (i.e. your internship placement). It continues with an Interview Workshop in which you can learn about having a successful interview with a host organization (if applicable). Then you are invited to a Wednesday Pub Night where you can meet and mingle with other program participants. During this week you will also meet with your placement manager to discuss specific issues pertaining to your placement and your host organization.
