How can I get a letter of recommendation from my host organization?
Under normal circumstances, all participants will get a letter of recommendation from their host organization. The only times where it may not be possible to get one is if you under-performed at the organization or if it is a policy not to issue such letters. You should let your host organization supervisor know that you would like a letter of recommendation at least 2 weeks before you finish your placement. You can also ask other staff if they could write one for you. This is probably the most valuable document that you will obtain from your placement so don’t forget to ask!
