How long does it take to get things done?
Remember where you are: Canada is a big country. Many organizations that have markets or partners in other cities are dealing with different time zones. This slows a lot of processes down. Also remember that the main people you are dealing with are managers that often have a limited amount of time to devote to your internship. Even other staff has full-time tasks that require their attention. In Canada there is a very real feeling that “time is money”, especially in some professions, so you will have to learn how to function in this environment. Be patient and be initiative and see in what areas you can be of help.
